What you will do:
- Provide direct line management to a team of 2 Assistant Team Managers and 6 Social Workers, ensuring regular supervision and adherence to supervision policy.
- Make informed decisions relating to Child Protection matters, exercising autonomy and supporting the team in risk management.
- Lead the assessment team to complete Section 47 assessments and inquiries, along with Care and Support assessments.
- Familiarize yourself with court-related matters, including private law proceedings, care proceedings, and PLO processes.
- Guide and support the team to ensure that every child or young person remains safe at home, when possible, with their family and natural connections.
Requirements of the Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Recent managerial experience, working as a TM, DTM or ATM etc.
- Significant frontline experience in Adults/Children’s Services working as a Team Manager
