Job Opportunity: Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse - Single Point of Access Team in Stockport (UK) - Earn £26 Hourly for 3 Months

Are you ready for an exciting opportunity to work as a Band Registered Mental Health Nurse within the Single Point of Access Team in Stockport? This dynamic role offers flexible full-time hours, 37.5 hours per week, with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and options for condensed hours. Over the next three months, you will earn £26 hourly while making a significant impact on the community.

What you will do:

  • Screen and triage all referrals into the Stockport Access Team service, ensuring every individual is directed to the most appropriate care.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of health and social care needs, alongside risk assessments, for individuals referred to the service.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to provide responsive and effective care, processing referrals from GPs and other primary care agencies.
  • Assess, manage risks, and provide short-term support for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, facilitating appropriate referrals and signposting as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and interface of the team with other mental health services, enhancing the gateway and assessment process.
  • Conduct urgent assessments for individuals through the care pathway, formulating management plans and accelerating referrals to specialist services when necessary.
  • Deliver brief crisis interventions and follow-up appointments, aiding in crisis management and harm minimisation.
  • Ensure all care is in line with Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust policies, the Mental Health Act, and relevant community care legislation.
