Exciting Locum Opportunity in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist (Band 6/7) to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in Aylesbury. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive assessments and implement individualised treatment plans for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.

• Conduct risk assessments and crisis interventions under the CAMHS Crisis framework.

• Collaborate with families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic support.

• Support children and young people with effective interventions that promote emotional well-being and functional development.

• Contribute to service planning and improvements within a fast-paced, supportive clinical environment.

Requirements

• Professional qualification and HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist (or Social Work/Nursing equivalent).

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working within CAMHS or child and adolescent mental health or parenting services.

• Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental, behavioural, and emotional health presentations in young people.

• A driving licence is preferred but not essential.
