What you will do:

- Undertake Child and Family Assessments under Section 17 and Section 47 of the Children Act 1989.
- Use Signs of Safety, systemic approaches, and other tools to assess needs and risks, ensuring comprehensive evaluations.
- Formulate clear, evidence-based plans of intervention to ensure children's safety and wellbeing.
- Provide short-term interventions where appropriate, before cases are transferred to long-term teams.
- Safeguarding children by identifying those at risk of significant harm and taking immediate action in consultation with line management and legal services.
- Initiate and participate in Child Protection Conferences, Strategy Discussions, and Legal Planning Meetings.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-agency teams, liaising with schools, police, health professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, core groups, and child-in-need reviews, ensuring a holistic approach to assessments.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case recordings in accordance with statutory guidance and local procedures.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, statutory guidance, and Ofsted frameworks, upholding high standards.
- Where necessary, prepare statements and reports for court proceedings, giving evidence in care proceedings when required.
