What you will do:

  • Collaborate with children and families to conduct comprehensive assessments, identifying individual circumstances, needs, risks, and strengths, to create effective plans that safeguard children from significant harm.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, receiving and addressing referrals from a variety of sources, with responsibilities adaptable to your experience and qualifications.
  • Assess the needs and situations of children and families under relevant statutory frameworks, maintaining strong collaboration with partner agencies and other Children’s Services teams.
  • Participate in a duty rota, responding to crisis situations and supporting the efforts to keep children safely within their family environment.
  • Empower families, individuals, and carers, enabling them to tackle issues affecting health, financial stability, emotional, and social wellbeing in order to foster lasting positive change.


Experience and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, bringing experience in working with children and families in social work into the position. Your commitment to relationship-based social work, pride in your profession, and creative problem-solving skills are essential to building meaningful relationships and making a real difference.
