Prison Cleared Registered Mental Health Nurse – HMP Cardiff

Location: Cardiff, UK
Setting: Prison Mental Health Services
Pay Rates (Umbrella/LTD):

• Weekdays: £27.00/hour

• Saturdays: £32.00/hour

• Sundays/Bank Holidays: £37.00/hour
  Hours: Full-Time (08:15–17:45, 7-day service)
  Contract: 3-month block booking, with ongoing extension potential

Job Summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced Prison Cleared Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) for a dynamic and rewarding role at HMP Cardiff. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred mental health care within a secure setting

• Conduct clinical assessments and implement tailored mental health care plans

• Administer medications and maintain accurate, compliant documentation

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care

• Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support for inmates with mental health needs

Requirements

• Valid NMC registration (RMN)

• Current prison clearance is essential

• Experience working in secure environments or equivalent mental health services

• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota, including some weekends
