Salary: £26.32 per hour
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00; on-call standby may be required based on service needs)

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Registered Manager seeking autonomy in a locum capacity. Based within Children’s Social Care in Wolverhampton, this full-time role offers the chance to lead a children’s residential home while making a significant and lasting difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operational and strategic delivery of a children’s home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

• Deliver high-quality, child-centred care that aligns with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).

• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with children and young people, especially those who have experienced trauma.

• Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of learning, development, and accountability.

• Design and implement care plans that support children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs.

• Monitor performance standards and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery and outcomes.

Essential Criteria

• Proven registered management experience in residential childcare settings within the past five years.

• Strong focus on child-centred care and improving outcomes for young people.

• Demonstrated ability to connect with children and young people who have experienced trauma.

• In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance in children’s residential care.

• Skilled in leading teams and managing complex care environments effectively.

• Holding or working towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s Services).
