Job Title: Locum Registered Social Care Manager – Children’s Home
Location: Wolverhampton, UK
Salary: £26.32 per hour
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00; on-call standby may be required based on service needs)

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Registered Manager seeking autonomy in a locum capacity. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the operational and strategic delivery of a children’s home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

Deliver high-quality, child-centred care that aligns with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).

Build and maintain meaningful relationships with children and young people, especially those who have experienced trauma.

Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of learning, development, and accountability.

Design and implement care plans that support children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs.

Monitor performance standards and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery and outcomes.
Essential Criteria

Proven registered management experience in residential childcare settings within the past five years.

Strong focus on child-centred care and improving outcomes for young people.

Demonstrated ability to connect with children and young people who have experienced trauma.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance in children’s residential care.

Skilled in leading teams and managing complex care environments effectively.

Holding or working towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s Services).
