What you will do:
- Manage a complex caseload of children and families involved in court proceedings, handling both Public Law and occasionally Private Law cases.
- Undertake robust assessments and create care plans grounded in evidence and focused on achieving child-centred outcomes.
- Prepare high-quality, analytical court reports, such as Section 7 and Section 37 reports, and ensure they are completed within required timescales.
- Attend court hearings, providing evidence and ensuring recommendations reflect the best interests of the child.
- Collaborate closely with the legal team, participating in Legal Planning Meetings and PLO meetings, and liaise effectively with Counsel.
- Build productive partnerships with children, families, carers, and other professionals, including those in health, education, and law enforcement.
- Ensure all casework complies with statutory responsibilities, policies, and procedures such as the Children Act 1989 and Working Together 2018 guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records using the case management system.
- Engage in supervision, reflective practice, and partake in relevant training and development opportunities to further your professional journey.
