Graduate Art Trainee Teacher – The Role
Starting in September 2025, the programme offers a structured pathway to becoming a qualified teacher. As a Graduate Art Trainee Teacher, you will begin with a reduced timetable to ease your transition into the classroom, while building confidence in lesson delivery and classroom management.
Initially, you’ll focus on developing engaging lessons, supporting practical art sessions, and helping students explore different media and techniques. With ongoing guidance from experienced mentors and access to tailored professional development, you’ll gradually increase your responsibilities and refine your teaching practice.
By the end of the academic year, you’ll be a confident and capable teacher, fully qualified with QTS and ready to take the next step in your teaching career.
