Graduate Cover Supervisor – Candidate Specification

We are seeking a Graduate Cover supervisor with the following qualities:

-          A 2:1 degree or higher from a top 30 or Russell Group university

-          Experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school environment

-          Excellent communication skills – confident, calm, and clear

-          Ability to manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy

-          Strong time management and organisational skills – able to think on your feet and multi-task

Graduate Cover Supervisor – About the role

Due to this schools ongoing expansion, they are looking for a Cover Supervisor who can:

-          Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers (Up to 5 lessons a day)

-          Deliver pre-set lesson materials and manage classroom behaviour

-          Be available to support learning across departments when not covering lessons

-          Support enrichment activities, tutor time, PSHE sessions, or school trips

This Graduate Cover Supervisor role is busy, varied, and rewarding role that offers real responsibility and development. You’ll work closely with subject teachers, support staff, and SLT, and no two days will look the same.
