Social Worker - Best Interests Assessor - Chatham, UK - £270 Per Assessment

Join us for an exciting opportunity as a locum Social Worker specialising in Best Interests Assessor within Chatham, earning £270 per assignment. This exciting role begins with a 3-month contract with the potential to extend. As a locum, you will undertake face-to-face Best Interest Assessments on behalf of Medway Council, with a workload of 3 assessments per week. We are looking for a candidate who is two years post-qualified as a BIA and has completed BIA refresher training within the last year.

The role involves travelling in and around Medway and the surrounding areas, mainly within Kent. This position is within IR35, offering a rewarding pay-per-assessment structure.

What you will do:

- Conduct face-to-face Best Interests Assessments efficiently and in accordance with Medway DOLS Office policies.
- Allocate and manage 3 assessments per week, ensuring high-quality, person-centred judgements.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders involved in the assessment process.
- Document assessment outcomes in a clear and timely manner.
- Travel within Medway and neighbouring areas to support service delivery and client needs.
