Join a Major Infrastructure Project and Play a Critical Role in Electrical Commissioning Delivery!Our Client has a requirement for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, who will be required to work on a permanent basis in Somerset.Role Purpose: Support the delivery of electrical commissioning activities within a major infrastructure project.Build successful collaborative relationships with contractors, project delivery teams, site engineering personnel and operational stakeholders.Work within a commissioning team to ensure the safe and successful commissioning of electrical systems.Primarily support HV, LV, DC or Generator systems, while maintaining the flexibility to work across all electrical disciplines as required.Undertake commissioning activities across systems including voltages at 400kV, 10kV, 690VAC, 400VAC, 220VDC and associated control voltages. Job Role Responsibilities: Contribute to team meetings.Liaise with designers regarding electrical commissioning requirements.Liaise with Project Managers regarding electrical deliverables.Accountable to a nominated Commissioning Manager/Senior Engineer within the project team.Develop commissioning documentation relating to commissioning testing and system validation activities.Contribute to design reviews to ensure plant and system layouts facilitate efficient commissioning.Contribute to detailed commissioning planning and take ownership of commissioning test programmes.Participate in the preparation and execution of site commissioning activities.Supervise contractor commissioning personnel where required to achieve safe and successful commissioning of systems.Provide information to assist Commissioning Managers in meeting project objectives and milestones.Analyse, verify and validate commissioning results and provide reports summarising commissioning activities.Support compliance with nuclear, environmental and industrial safety requirements while maintaining good industry practice and technical excellence.Develop commissioning documentation relating specifically to electrical system testing and validation activities.Carry out commissioning tests on Electrical Systems in accordance with approved Commissioning Test Procedures.Ensure all commissioning documentation, test records and handover certificates are accurately completed and compliant with quality and safety standards. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: HNC/HND or recognised equivalent qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.Demonstrable experience undertaking fault-finding activities.Experience conducting commissioning, return-to-service, operational and maintenance tests.Previous experience working within a high-hazard industrial environment.Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and commissioning practices.Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams. Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience: Degree qualified or equivalent in an Electrical Engineering discipline.Good communication skills and the ability to convey complex information to others.Delivery focused, with either a proven track record of delivery or a strong delivery mindset.Demonstrable history of working within safety and quality-driven cultures. Play a Key Role in Delivering the Safe Commissioning of Major UK Infrastructure Projects!Our Client has a requirement for a CI & BOP Commissioning Engineer, who will be required to work on a permanent basis in Somerset.Role Purpose: Support the delivery of commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle, combining technical engineering expertise with project delivery skills.Contribute to planning and preparation activities, including the review of contractor-produced commissioning documentation.Execute commissioning tests, conduct surveillance of contractor-led activities and analyse results to support safe entry into commercial operation.Deliver test specifications and safety documentation in preparation for commissioning activities.Ensure commissioning deliverables are provided on time and in accordance with project requirements. Job Role Responsibilities: Accountable to a Commissioning Manager within the project team.Develop commissioning documentation and review contractor-produced documentation relating to commissioning testing.Contribute to detailed planning and take ownership of a programme of tests.Take part in or lead the execution of site commissioning activities.Supervise contractor personnel where required to achieve the safe commissioning of systems.Perform site testing safely and effectively.Assist with the analysis of commissioning results and resolve problems as they arise.Provide information to support the Commissioning Manager in meeting project objectives and milestones.Analyse commissioning results and provide reports on the outcome of tests.Ensure deliverables supporting commissioning activities are provided on time and in accordance with project requirements.Provide support to contract partners and participate in contractual review and acceptance activities. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical & Process Systems.Strong technical engineering skills.Strong problem-solving skills.Good communication skills and the ability to convey complex information to others.Able to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate closely with contractors.Delivery focused, with either a proven track record of delivery or a strong delivery mindset.Demonstrable history of working within safety and quality cultures.Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
