Job Title: European Road Freight Operations Co-ordinatorLocation:  North YorkshireSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience + pensionPosition: PermanentStart Date: ASAPHours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:30 About the RoleOur client, a well-established freight forwarding and shipping organisation based in Selby, North Yorkshire, is seeking an experienced European Operations Co-ordinator to join their growing team.This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with strong European Road Freight experience to join a positive team environment within a modern office setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing European road freight shipments from quotation through to final delivery, while maintaining strong relationships with both clients and suppliers.What you'll doAs the European Operations Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for: Liaising extensively with clients, building strong relationships and maximising the potential of European Road Freight accounts.  Working closely with suppliers to develop reliable and cost-effective European freight services.  Calculating freight quotations for both export and import shipments.  Completing operational administration, including job cards and supplier booking confirmations.  Preparing all relevant operational documentation, including customs clearance formalities.  Managing European road freight consignments in transit through to successful completion and delivery.  Completing invoicing and ensuring job files are finalised accurately.   What you needTo be considered for this European Operations Co-ordinator role, you will need: A minimum of 3 years' freight forwarding experience within European Road Freight.  A good understanding of post-Brexit European customs clearance requirements.  Confident and clear communication skills.  Proven experience building strong customer and supplier relationships.  Strong negotiation skills.  Good numeracy skills, with experience calculating freight quotations.  Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.   Why you'll love this role Join a long-established freight forwarding and shipping business with strong backing from a larger group.  Work within a positive team environment in a brand-new office.  Be part of a growing European Road Freight operation with scope to build strong client and supplier relationships.  Opportunity to work across import, export, customs, quotations, supplier liaison and full operational coordination.   How to applyIf you have European Road Freight experience and are looking for a new opportunity within a well-established freight forwarding business, we would love to hear from you.Please apply today with your CV, or contact Red Recruit for more information.Red Recruit Global LtdSpecialists in Freight, Logistics & Removals RecruitmentTel: 01376 503 567Email: clarissa.snowsell@redrecruit.com
