The salary for this permanent Experienced Social Worker job is up to £45,834 per annum. Main duties: Work directly with children, young people and families using Merton’s Relationship-based practice model and a range of Signs of Safety and systemic social work tools and approaches.Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with children, young people, families and carers to offer containment and create the conditions for change to occur.To prepare, provide and explain written reports and plans to children, families, carers and professionals in a range of different settings including home visits; family network meetings; court hearings; panels and multi-agency meetings.Work alongside children, young people, parents and families experiencing or at risk of experiencing social, emotional, health or behavioural issues to bring about sustainable change.To undertake direct observation of practice, with effective feedback to offer quality assurance.Support colleagues and partners to develop evidenced based practice.Where the role requires, to have responsibility for effective group supervision, individual supervision, appraisal and mentoring of colleagues.Maintain up to date records and data using electronic devices and systems and provide reports for a range of audiences as required by your Line Manager.Participate in and oversee successful completion of learning and insight processes within team.To provide information and signposting for children, young people, families and carers to relevant universal, early help and specialist services in the local area and beyond where appropriate.Actively work in partnership with other professional groups to deliver a holistic service to children, young people, families and carers.To undertake other tasks allocated by manager or senior colleagues, in keeping with the responsibilities of the grade and your development.Work in accordance with the Council’s statutory responsibilities, policies and service procedures and comply with equality and diversity policies, procedures and legislation.Be responsible for expert social work oversight/supervision of staff and social work interventions with children, families and carers where required.Be required to organise own workload and supervise the work of colleagues as required by your line manger.
