Data Test Analyst (SQL & Databricks)Location: Leicestershire - 3 days onsite per weekRate: £360 per dayContract: 6 months+IR35: Outside IR35Start: ASAPThe OpportunityWe’re working with a client on a major Transformation programme, and they’re looking for an experienced Data Test Analyst / QA to join their data team on a contract basis.This is a key role supporting the transformation of finance data platforms, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and robustness across complex data pipelines and reporting layers.You’ll be embedded within the data team, working closely with data engineers, finance stakeholders, and transformation leads to validate large-scale data movements and reconciliations.The RoleAs a Data Test Analyst, you will: Validate data pipelines and transformations within a modern data platformPerform detailed SQL-based data validation and reconciliation testingWork with finance datasets, ensuring accuracy and completenessTest data migrations and transformations into DatabricksCreate and execute structured test plans and test casesSupport UAT and work closely with finance stakeholdersIdentify data quality issues and drive resolution with engineering teamsEnsure robust documentation and auditability (critical in finance transformation work) Essential Skills & Experience Strong experience as a Test Analyst / QA within data environmentsAdvanced SQL skills (writing complex queries for validation and reconciliation)Hands-on experience testing within DatabricksExperience working on data transformation / migration programmesStrong understanding of data warehousing conceptsExperience working with finance data (highly desirable)Comfortable working onsite in Leicestershire 3 days per week Desirable Experience in retail or large enterprise environmentsExposure to finance transformation or ERP programmesUnderstanding of data governance and controls Data Test Analyst (SQL & Databricks)
