This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent sewing and garment alteration skills who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.Working within a busy retail environment, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of clothing alterations, ensuring every garment is finished to the highest standard while providing customers with a professional and friendly experience.Key Responsibilities Carry out high-quality clothing alterations and repairs, including hems, waist adjustments, sleeve alterations, zip replacements and garment resizing.Operate industrial sewing machinery safely and efficiently.Conduct customer fittings where required, taking accurate measurements and discussing alteration requirements.Ensure all alterations are completed within agreed timescales.Maintain exceptional attention to detail to achieve a premium finish on every garment.Manage your workload effectively to meet customer deadlines.Keep the alterations area clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.Work closely with the wider store team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.Provide advice and guidance to customers regarding alteration options where appropriate. You'll ideally have: Previous experience as an Alterations Machinist, Seamstress, Tailor or Garment Technician.Excellent sewing and garment alteration skills.Experience using industrial sewing machines.A strong understanding of garment construction and fabrics.Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs at once.A positive, customer-focused attitude.The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
