Be the trusted HR contact driving exceptional employee experience and operational HR excellence.Our Client has a requirement for an HR Advisor, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Barrow-in-Furness.Role Purpose Support the provision of HR advice, processes, policies and coordination.Deliver a timely, consistent and credible HR service across all business areas. Job Role Responsibilities Act as a first point of contact for employees via the HR email inbox, ensuring that they are fully aware of policies and processes and providing responses and guidance in line with company HR policies and practices.Drive all day-to-day and common HR queries and requests for information through the HR email inbox to ensure a common, efficient and accessible process.Manage the HR inbox and related paperwork and take ownership of maintaining HR pipeline pages.Support the recruitment and headcount process, including managing requisitions in Workday, engaging with the MSP and tracking headcount approvals.Act as the point of contact for leavers, ensuring they have the information and support they need.Support the HR Lead in managing and resolving straightforward employee relations issues.Work closely with the external Occupational Healthcare provider in support of the sickness absence management process, liaising with impacted employees and managers to ensure a smooth and considerate process.Work closely with the external Occupational Healthcare provider in support of substance misuse testing, liaising with impacted employees or contracting companies and supporting implementation of the appropriate HR policies and processes following testing results where required.Work closely with the external Payroll provider to ensure all monthly changes are processed accurately and efficiently and communicated as required.Deal with payroll queries, liaising with Finance and external providers as necessary.Deal with Workday queries and requests, regular releases, management surveys and management of data within Workday.Coordinate long service awards processes and associated actions.Carry out any other associated duties as reasonably required. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications Robust knowledge of applicable HR regulations and standards, as well as HR policies and practices.Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.Experienced Workday user preferred.Excellent organisational and collaboration skills.Strong contextual understanding of the business and the ability to develop people solutions to business challenges and risks.Knowledge of HR disciplines and the role HR plays within organisations.Maintains awareness of developments within the HR profession.CIPD qualification preferred.
