We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Young Peoples Substance Misuse Practitioner to join a dedicated substance misuse service in the vibrant city of Newcastle, UK. You will be earning £19 hourly on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours a week over 5 days. This role is on a 3-month contract with potential extension. Stationed at the Wallsend Customer First Centre, you will provide vital support in tackling substance misuse issues among young people.

What you will do:
- Deliver personalised care and support plans for young individuals dealing with substance misuse.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each individual's specific needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care, ensuring the best outcomes for young people.
- Offer harm reduction advice and foster recovery through evidence-based interventions and programs.
- Maintain clear and concise case records and ensure all interactions are documented effectively.
- Engage in community outreach to increase awareness and accessibility of substance misuse services.
Requirements:
- A DBS on the update service is essential.
- Demonstrable experience in substance misuse, specifically drugs and alcohol, is required.
- Strong skills in managing caseloads and keyworking, ensuring a proactive approach to client care.
- A robust understanding of harm reduction and recovery models.
