What you will do:

  • Provide strong leadership to the therapy and recreational therapy teams ensuring effective service delivery from referral through to discharge.
  • Oversee team caseloads to deliver the most efficient and effective service to our service users.
  • Lead clinical governance initiatives focusing on clinical risk management and implementation of relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure high service standards are maintained and comply with local and national guidelines, managing team documentation to meet Brainkind standards.
  • Manage and support staff ensuring effective day-to-day service delivery and provide on-site deputy leadership when required.
  • Facilitate service development with strategies involving service user participation, peer review, audit, and evaluation of outcome measures.
  • Chair interdisciplinary and review meetings to foster collaborative working across professionals and services.
  • Actively manage your own caseload within defined clinical areas and contribute to audit projects to enhance research and development skills within the team.

About you:

  • Hold a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
  • Demonstrate relevant post-registration training and leadership experience in health or social care settings.
  • Proven experience working with clients with neurological conditions and disabilities, employing a highly specialist knowledge and application of neurological therapy assessments and interventions.
  • Evidence of managing and leading a team including setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and handling recruitment and disciplinary issues.
  • A continued focus on professional development, with membership in relevant professional groups being desirable.
