Take the lead on safety-critical temporary works at one of the UK’s key water infrastructure sites.

Role
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) to manage all temporary works activities on the Wanlip STW project. You will lead planning, coordination, design assurance, implementation, and removal of temporary works, ensuring safety, compliance, and programme efficiency.

You will act as the single point of contact for all temporary works matters, coordinating between designers, supervisors, the construction team, and the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Temporary Works Register in line with BS 5975 and company procedures.
  • Prepare and brief TW Design Briefs and manage design checks, permits, and hold points.
  • Ensure temporary works are installed, inspected, maintained, and removed in accordance with approved designs.
  • Control change management and manage NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate interfaces with permanent works, utilities, lifting operations, scaffolding, earthworks, and plant.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and stop work where controls are not in place.
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on critical temporary works and risks.

Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience coordinating or supervising temporary works on live construction sites.
  • Strong experience across civil structures, excavations, formwork/falsework, temporary stability, scaffolding/access, lifting operations, temporary services, and crane bases.
  • Proven ability to manage design interfaces, permits, and programme-critical works.

Qualifications:

  • CSCS card (appropriate level)
  • TWCTC (CITB)
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid, Appointed Person (Lifting) or LOLER awareness (desirable)
