Team Manager (Social Work) - Adults Safeguarding Team in Bolton, UK

Are you ready to step into an exciting role as a Team Manager for the Adults Safeguarding Team in the vibrant town of Bolton? Working full-time, you will lead and manage the Bolton Adult Safeguarding team for an initial period of 3-4 months. This locum position offers a competitive hourly rate of £40. The team includes skilled social workers and two deputy managers, with robust support from the Head of Service. This hybrid role requires attendance at the office base three days a week when possible. While prior experience in Adult Safeguarding management is preferred, it is not essential; however, you must have a good grasp of Care Act section 42 safeguarding.

What you will do:

• Lead and manage the Adults Safeguarding Team, ensuring effective delivery of services and support.
• Collaborate with a team of qualified social workers and two deputy team managers to coordinate safeguarding investigations and outcomes.
• Work closely with the Head of Service to drive improvements and innovations within the team.
• Apply your knowledge of the Care Act s42 safeguarding to guide and influence best practices.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and contribute to the development of safeguarding strategies and policies.
• Facilitate team meetings and provide ongoing professional development and guidance to team members.
