What you will do:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop a team of Social Workers and support staff, promoting high standards of practice and performance.

  • Supervision and Development: Provide regular supervision, support, mentoring, and performance management to ensure staff development and wellbeing.

  • Safeguarding Oversight: Oversee complex safeguarding investigations, ensuring assessments and interventions are robust, timely, and child focused.

  • Quality Assurance: Authorise assessments, plans, reports, and statutory documentation, ensuring compliance with legislation, policy, and best practice.

  • Case Management: Monitor case progression and workload management to ensure statutory timescales and performance targets are achieved.

  • Multi-Agency Partnership Working: Build strong partnerships with education, health services, police, and other agencies to deliver coordinated interventions.
