What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of children and families subject to safeguarding concerns, including Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17) cases.

• Undertake statutory assessments, risk assessments, and care planning, ensuring timely and effective safeguarding interventions.

• Participate in and contribute to strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and core group meetings, ensuring robust multi-agency collaboration.

• Develop and implement child-centred safeguarding and care plans, monitoring outcomes and reviewing plans regularly.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent); evidence of continued professional development.

• Registration & Compliance: Registered with Social Work England; enhanced DBS clearance is required.

• Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant legislation and frameworks including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
