What you will do:

  • Manage a caseload of children in care, ensuring all statutory duties are carried out in line with the Children Act 1989.

  • Develop and implement care and permanence plans, including fostering, adoption, or reunification.

  • Conduct statutory visits, reviews, and pathway planning, ensuring the child’s voice is central to all decisions.

  • Prepare reports for Looked After Child reviews, court proceedings, and care planning meetings.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of continued professional development.

  • Registration & Compliance: Registered with Social Work England; knowledge of Children Act 1989 and 2004, Care Planning Regulations 2010, and Working Together to Safeguard Children; enhanced DBS clearance required.
