The parenting assessment service is dedicated to providing high-quality assessment and intervention for families engaged in pre-proceedings or within care proceedings. As a senior social worker, you will be responsible for conducting thorough, evidence-based assessments, showcasing your superior critical thinking and analytical skills to shape sound recommendations. Additionally, you will supervise one of our family support workers, ensuring the provision of tailored interventions as part of the assessment process. This role demands an experienced practitioner with a strong grasp of the legislative framework, including the ability to present evidence in court, and a rich background in children's safeguarding. A minimum of five years of post-qualifying experience is essential for this position.
What you will do:

Lead and manage the Safeguarding Team to deliver exceptional care and support to at-risk children and families

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop intervention plans

Supervise and guide family support workers to ensure the delivery of bespoke interventions

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for children
