Role Overview:
As a MASH Social Worker, you will be responsible for the effective screening and analysis of safeguarding concerns. Working within a fast-paced, co-located multi-agency environment, you will ensure that children and young people receive timely and proportionate responses to risk in line with statutory guidance and local thresholds.

What You Will Do:

Receive, screen, and evaluate incoming safeguarding referrals and contacts.
Conduct initial risk assessments to identify safeguarding concerns and appropriate thresholds.
Apply statutory guidance and local procedures to determine outcomes such as early help, assessment, or statutory intervention.
Gather, share, and analyse information from partner agencies including police, health, education, and early help services.
Produce high-quality written analyses and clear professional recommendations.
Identify cases requiring Section 17 (Child in Need) or Section 47 (Child Protection) intervention.
Participate in strategy discussions and safeguarding decision-making meetings.
Work collaboratively within a co-located multi-agency setting.
Build and maintain effective professional relationships with statutory and partner agencies.
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of MASH processes and safeguarding pathways.
