What you will do:
- Undertake timely and comprehensive assessments of children and families where there are safeguarding or welfare concerns.
- Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring all assessments, plans, and interventions are completed within statutory timescales.
- Identify risks and protective factors affecting children and develop appropriate child-centred plans to promote safety and wellbeing.
- Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals including health, education, and police to safeguard children.
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries and contribute to child protection processes where concerns of significant harm are identified.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, assessments, and reports in line with local authority policies and statutory requirements.
- Prepare reports for meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings where required.
- Ensure the voice and lived experience of the child are central to all assessments and decision-making.
- Participate in supervision, training, and continuous professional development to maintain professional standards and best practice.
