What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20–24 cases, including complex Child in Need and Child Protection cases, as well as various assessments.
- Collaborate within one of six dedicated teams, which consist of a Team Manager, an Advanced Social Worker, and four to five other Social Workers.
- Split your time between remote work and office presence, particularly during duty weeks when full-time office attendance is necessary.
- Remain available to respond to crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries, ensuring the safety and welfare of children under your care.
- Engage in fortnightly supervision (frequency may vary depending on the team) to discuss cases and gain support.
- Travel across Torbay and occasionally out of county to visit children placed outside the area.
- Participate in the duty rota, covering duty one full week every three weeks.
- Contribute to the positive environment highlighted by the GOOD rating in the latest Ofsted inspection.
