Locum Social Worker within Adults Community Learning Disabilities in Trafford earning £30 per hour Hourly. This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join an ongoing contract in a dynamic and supportive environment. Based in Trafford, this full-time role offers the chance to work within a Community Learning Disability Team co-located with health colleagues. You will be helping individuals aged 18 and over with a diagnosed learning disability, with some responsibilities related to planning and preparing for adulthood for those aged 14-17.

What you will do:
- Assess the care and support needs of adults and carers in alignment with guiding legislation such as The Human Rights Act (1998), The Mental Capacity Act (2005), and The Down Syndrome Act (2022).
- Conduct interventions related to the safeguarding of adults.
- Complete capacity assessments and lead Best Interest Meetings and decisions according to the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Support adults who may lack the capacity to consent to their accommodation and care needs, applying to the Court of Protection for authorisation when necessary.
- Manage a caseload, providing a social work service to people with care and support needs, including adults at risk of harm and neglect.
- Undertake administration duties and keep up-to-date records, managing your workload effectively and providing statistical information as needed.
- Handle applications and oversight for CHC (Continuing Health Care) Funding when a person’s needs may qualify them.
- Evidence registration with Social Work England is required.

Requirements:
- Must be registered with Social Work England.
- Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Demonstrated experience as a Social Worker in the UK is essential.
