What You Will Do

Lead on complex statutory children’s cases, applying advanced professional judgement and ensuring practice aligns with legal, policy, and procedural frameworks.

Undertake comprehensive assessments using the assessment framework to identify children’s needs and the appropriate level of intervention.

Work collaboratively with partner agencies to develop strong, effective safeguarding arrangements.

Manage a demanding and diverse caseload, providing expert guidance in situations involving multi-agency involvement and complex family dynamics.

Prepare high-quality written reports, including court reports, and represent the Council in legal proceedings.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practice relevant to children and families.

Contribute to service improvement and mentor less experienced colleagues where required.
