What you will do:

• Support the Team Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the Family Help and Safeguarding Team, including workload allocation and service delivery.
• Provide supervision, coaching, and professional development to social workers, including those in their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE), promoting reflective practice and high-quality assessments.
• Manage a reduced caseload of complex safeguarding cases, undertaking assessments, planning, and interventions in line with statutory guidance.
• Oversee and quality assure assessments, plans, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with the Children Act duties and local policies.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Must be registered with Social Work England.

Registration & Compliance:

• Strong working knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
• Understanding of statutory guidance, safeguarding frameworks, and local authority procedures.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
