Smart Technology Operative in Newcastle Upon Tyne, North East

This entry-level Smart Technology role is an excellent opportunity to begin a career within technology and food manufacturing. You will support the use of smart systems, automation, and digital tools that help improve production efficiency, quality, and safety across the site.

KEY DUTIES

• Assist with the monitoring and basic operation of smart manufacturing systems and equipment
• Support data collection from sensors, machinery, and digital platforms
• Help identify simple faults or issues and escalate to technical teams where required
• Follow digital workflows and log updates accurately
• Work closely with production, engineering, and IT teams

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• An interest in technology, automation, or smart manufacturing
• Basic IT skills (e.g. using computers, tablets, or digital systems)
• Willingness to learn and follow processes
• Good communication and teamwork skills
