What you will do

• Manage a complex caseload of Child Protection, Child in Need, Public Law Outline (PLO), and care proceedings cases, addressing significant safeguarding concerns.
• Lead and contribute to Strategy Discussions, Section 47 enquiries, Child Protection Conferences, and multi-agency safeguarding meetings.
• Collaborate with Family Help practitioners to deliver effective assessments, interventions, and safety planning for children and families.
• Provide professional consultation, quality assurance, and safeguarding advice to colleagues and partner agencies.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Hold a Degree or Master's Degree in Social Work or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Successfully completed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
• Show evidence of continuous professional development related to safeguarding practice.

Registration and Compliance

• Maintaining current registration with Social Work England (SWE).

Experience

• Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience within frontline children's safeguarding services.
• Demonstrate significant experience managing Child Protection and court-related cases.
• Deep experience working within multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.
