Role Overview

Seven Resourcing is recruiting an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a Children’s Social Care service within a Safe and Supported team. This is a statutory frontline role working with children and families requiring ongoing intervention under Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings.

The service operates using the Signs of Safety practice model and focuses on achieving safe, sustainable permanence plans for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and families under Child in Need and Child Protection plans
• Undertake statutory social work assessments and interventions in line with safeguarding procedures
• Work within public and private law proceedings, contributing to court reports and care planning
• Support children and young people through long-term planning, including fostering, residential care, and adoption pathways
• Contribute to permanency planning and support smooth transitions to relevant long-term services
• Apply the Signs of Safety framework consistently in practice
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for children

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Significant experience in Children’s Social Care, ideally within safeguarding teams
• Strong understanding of Child Protection, CIN, and court processes
• Experience working within the Signs of Safety model is highly desirable
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and work effectively under pressure
• Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
