Pay Rate: PAYE £27.03 per hour | Umbrella £34.45 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00

Role Overview
Seven Resourcing is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join a busy Children’s Social Care service within a safeguarding and court-focused team. This is a senior practitioner role requiring strong expertise in child protection, court proceedings, and complex case management.
The successful candidate will operate at Practice Manager level, supporting the Team Manager while leading on high-risk and complex assessments, driving practice standards, and ensuring compliance across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake complex assessments including parenting assessments, sibling assessments, and detailed risk analysis
- Lead on Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN) cases, including court-related work and Public Law Outline (PLO) processes
- Chair key meetings such as Strategy Meetings, CIN Reviews, and PLO meetings
- Deputise for the Team Manager when required
- Supervise and support non-social work qualified staff within the team
- Conduct case file audits and ensure high standards of recording, compliance, and performance management
- Monitor data quality and contribute to service improvement and performance reporting
- Support workforce development through mentoring, group supervision, and modelling best practice
- Contribute to the development of team skills, knowledge, and safeguarding practice standards
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Children’s Social Care
- Strong background in safeguarding, child protection, and court work
- Experience at Senior Social Worker or Advanced Practitioner level preferred
- Ability to chair multi-agency meetings and manage complex casework independently
- Strong leadership, supervision, and practice development skills
