This is an ongoing and exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Adults Senior Locality Team in Wandsworth as a Senior Social Worker. What you will do:

- Provide regular, formal professional supervision to practitioners within the team, ensuring adherence to Council Policies, Procedures, legislation, and Professional Standards.
- Manage the duty team, overseeing all incoming referrals and safeguarding concerns with precision and care.
- Promote service user choice and empowerment through independence and strength-based practice, helping residents maintain their independence and community connections.
- Assist with budget management, ensuring assessments, reassessments, and funding processes are timely and effective.
- Undertake statutory intervention for at-risk service users, including chairing Section 42 Safeguarding Adults Enquiries when required.
- Provide operational and motivational leadership, fostering a positive working environment dedicated to delivering high-quality services.

This role requires you to have a ‘can do’ attitude and continuously seek ways to save costs while delivering excellent resident outcomes. Collaboration and partnership are key to our team's success, and we’re looking for someone with knowledge of current legislation and a proactive approach to safeguarding vulnerable adults. Strong communication, decision-making, and time management skills are essential.
