Join us as a Qualified Social Worker in the Adults Community Team within the South Derbyshire Adult Social Work Team, based in Swadlincote. We are seeking experienced Social Workers for an initial three-month full-time locum contract, with a strong possibility of extension. What You Will Do

• Carry out Care Act (2014) assessments through face-to-face and telephone-based work, ensuring timely recording and high-quality case management.

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with partner agencies to maximise service user independence and wellbeing.

• Manage a complex caseload autonomously, ensuring all statutory duties under the Care Act (2014) are met.

• Provide Duty cover, responding to changing priorities and managing work based on risk and urgency.

• Lead on Section 42 Safeguarding enquiries and chair multi-agency meetings, including Multi-Agency Adult Risk Management (MARM) meetings.

• Complete Mental Capacity Act (2005) assessments and chair Best Interest meetings, with opportunities for further training and development in these areas.
