What you will do:
- Provide a specialised respiratory service to ICU, HDU, and ward areas within the cardiothoracic service.
- Conduct specialist assessments and develop treatment programmes for patients with complex needs and multiple co-morbidities.
- Report directly to the Cardiothoracic Team Lead and the Rehabilitation Divisional Lead.
- Manage physiotherapy care, including complex patient assessments and the execution of specialist treatment programs.
- Coordinate rehab programmes across various settings and provide guidance to staff on patient management.
- Maintain accurate and updated clinical records in line with legal and departmental standards.
- Facilitate referrals to outside agencies for ongoing physiotherapy as needed.
- Support less experienced staff, sharing new insights gained from continuous professional development.
Requirements:
- Current HCPC registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably with acute surgical and respiratory experience, and ideally with intensive care experience.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate easy commuting to different facilities as required.
