Senior Quantity Surveyor in Aberdeen
UK working eligibility only.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy project team on a long-term contract basis. This role has been created to support the commercial function during a period of increased workload and will provide critical support through the pre-construction and delivery phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of major subcontract packages.
- Administration of subcontract accounts under NEC3 Option A contracts.
- Management of subcontract payments, variations, compensation events and change control.
- Cost forecasting, budgeting and reporting.
- Preparation of cost/value reconciliations and commercial reports.
- Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors.
- Negotiation and agreement of subcontractor final accounts.
- Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and contractual documentation.
- Supporting project teams to ensure successful commercial delivery.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities environments.
- Extensive experience managing high-value subcontract packages.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 Option A contracts.
- Experience in subcontract administration, change management and final account settlement.
- Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong reporting, forecasting and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience managing large groundworks, steelwork or building package contracts
- Background working on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Working knowledge of CEAR software for subcontract administration.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary project teams.
