What you will do:
- Manage and provide oversight on complex Children in Care and Care Leaver cases, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and care planning regulations.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and case consultation to social workers, including newly qualified social workers and less experienced practitioners.
- Support permanence planning through reunification, Special Guardianship Orders, Placement with Parents arrangements, long-term fostering, and adoption pathways.
- Lead on complex safeguarding matters, placement stability concerns, care proceedings, and risk management activities.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Social Work qualification (BA, BSc, MA or equivalent)
- Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to children's social care
Registration & Compliance:
- Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience within Children's Services
- Significant experience working with children in care, care leavers, foster carers, and families
- Experience of complex safeguarding, care proceedings, and permanence planning
