What you will do:

• Manage and provide oversight on complex Children in Care and Care Leaver cases, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and care planning regulations.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and case consultation to social workers, including newly qualified social workers and less experienced practitioners.
• Support permanence planning through reunification, Special Guardianship Orders, Placement with Parents arrangements, long-term fostering, and adoption pathways.
• Lead on complex safeguarding matters, placement stability concerns, care proceedings, and risk management activities.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Social Work qualification (BA, BSc, MA or equivalent)
• Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to children's social care

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England (SWE)

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience within Children's Services
• Significant experience working with children in care, care leavers, foster carers, and families
• Experience of complex safeguarding, care proceedings, and permanence planning
