What you will do
- Manage a complex caseload of children in care, ensuring statutory duties and timescales are met with precision.
- Lead high-quality assessments and plans in line with legislative requirements, utilising your expert skills to craft the best futures for children in care.
- Provide professional guidance, mentoring, and practice support to less experienced social workers and newly qualified staff, becoming a cornerstone of knowledge and support.
- Chair and facilitate professional discussions, reflective supervision groups, and case consultations as delegated by Team Managers to foster collaborative learning and improvement.
- Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential providers, education services, health professionals, police, and partner agencies to safeguard children and improve outcomes, making a tangible difference in young lives.
Person Specification
- Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent qualification.
- Successful completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Track record of continuous professional development relevant to children's social care.
- Significant post-qualification experience within statutory children's social care.
- Experience working with looked after children, care leavers, fostering, kinship, or permanency services.
