What you will do:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred mental health nursing care across acute inpatient, rehabilitation, and psychiatric intensive care settings.
- Assess patients' mental, physical, and social care needs and contribute to comprehensive care planning.
- Implement and regularly review individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Administer medication safely and monitor patients for therapeutic effects and potential adverse reactions.
- Provide emotional support, therapeutic interventions, and appropriate guidance to patients and their families.
- Monitor patients' mental health presentation, behaviour, and overall wellbeing, escalating concerns where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with NHS policies and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to risk assessments, safeguarding procedures, and patient safety initiatives.
- Participate in handovers, clinical meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Promote recovery-focused practice and support patients in achieving greater independence.
