What you will do:

• Investigate alleged breaches of planning control, including unauthorised development and non-compliance with planning conditions, through thorough site inspections and meticulous evidence gathering.
• Lead on complex enforcement cases, preparing and serving statutory notices such as Enforcement Notices, Stop Notices, and Breach of Condition Notices in line with current legislation.
• Manage a varied caseload through to resolution, involving negotiation, formal action, and where necessary, prosecution or appeals.
• Provide professional advice to colleagues, Members, residents, and developers on planning enforcement matters and legislative requirements.
• Prepare detailed reports for committee, appeals and court proceedings, representing the Council convincingly where required.
