Rent Recovery Officer Basildon, Essex £17.65 - £20.00 per hour PAYE Full-Time, Temporary – 36.25 hours per week

What you will do:
- Collect and recover council secure, temporary, and use and occupation rent accounts with precision and care.
- Organise and manage your workload independently to maximise council income while ensuring the tenancies of our residents are sustained.
- Stay informed on housing law and court protocols, implementing processes and decisions aligned with legal and policy guidelines.
- Develop and document witness statements and eviction warrant reports with clarity and precision.
- Collaborate with courts, police, and enforcement agents on eviction applications for non-payment issues.

The Experience You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in a recovery section or similar debt collection environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated through public/customer interactions.
- Capability to accurately handle and interpret personal and financial data.
- Comprehensive understanding of Welfare Benefits Legislation.
- Full UK Driving Licence, personal vehicle, and insurance for business use.
- In-depth local knowledge and previous rents recovery experience.
