What you will do:
- Support and manage a caseload of children and young people in care, ensuring their safety and wellbeing are prioritised
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and review progress to meet the unique needs of each child
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams, including health professionals, educational staff, and legal personnel, to coordinate care and ensure all services are aligned
- Facilitate and support children and young people in expressing their views and wishes, advocating for their best interests at all times
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, providing reports and evidence to assist in legal proceedings where necessary
Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in social work
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Significant frontline experience within UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker, particularly in working directly with children in care
- Understanding of legislation and policies impacting children in care
