Social Worker – Children and Families Team
Location: Argyll and Bute
Contract: Temporary, Full-time
Pay: £39 per hour
Working Pattern: Hybrid working available | Option for flexible arrangements

Seven Resourcing are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join a dedicated Children and Families Team in Argyll and Bute. This is a full-time temporary position offering a competitive hourly rate and flexible working options, supporting both professional delivery and work-life balance.

In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality social work services to children and families, ensuring safeguarding, promoting wellbeing, and achieving positive long-term outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of the Social Worker:

• Deliver high standards of social work practice within children and families services
• Assess, plan, and implement support plans in line with relevant legislation and frameworks
• Work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency professionals
• Manage a varied caseload, ensuring accurate and timely record keeping
• Complete statutory visits, assessments, and reports
• Support safeguarding processes and contribute to child protection planning
• Promote the safety, welfare, and development of children and young people

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA/BSc/MSc in Social Work, CQSW, or DipSW)
• Registered with the SSSC
• Completed ASYE (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualifying experience within Children & Families services
• Experience within frontline children’s services such as safeguarding, child protection, or looked after children
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Ability to work across Argyll and Bute as required
