Due to business growth, our removals client based in Hampshire are looking to recruit a Removals Porter / Driver to join their busy team.
Having a full UK driving licence and physical strength is vital for this role. The company will support the successful candidate in obtaining HGV certification.
What you'll do:
As Removals Driver / Porter, a typical day includes driving to and from the warehouse to the customers address, and working with a team packing, unpacking, loading and unloading undertaking the safe handling of customers goods, exceeding their expectations by understanding their needs, planning with excellence, and delivering with care.
Duties include:
- Keep the customer informed and ensure that all the client's requirements are being met.
- Driving company vehicles; ensuring that vehicles are roadworthy, keeping the cab free from litter and for returning the vehicle to the fleet at the end of the day clean and tidy and with adequate fuel, responsible for making sure that the vehicle is legally parked.
- Working as a team undertaking the safe handling of customer goods.
- Ensuring the team is polite and courteous at all times, presenting in a professional manner at all times.
- Adhering to company policy on driver and vehicle safety.
What you need:
We're keen to speak to experienced 3.5 tonne vehicle drivers who are looking to obtain their HGV licence, or removals professionals who are interested in including HGV licence to their skill set.
Candidates should be well versed in the customer care, packing/unpacking, loading/unloading and problem-solving skills this position demands.
