What you will do:
- Provide direct patient care to neonates, ensuring a high standard of nursing excellence.
- Assess patient and family needs, formulate care plans using established nursing diagnoses, execute interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to update on patients' status and progress, ensuring the Clinical Manager and Nurse in Charge are informed of any changes.
- Lead teams when required, utilising clinical, hospital, and community resources effectively.
- Engage in Quality Improvement activities and contribute to approved research projects within the unit.
- Serve as a preceptor and role model for new and junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain safe and economical use of equipment and supplies.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and educational programs to enhance personal professional growth.
- Perform additional nursing and delegated medical acts as needed to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications and registration required:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council.
- Minimum of two years post-graduate experience as a Level 3 Neonatal Nurse.
- Certified in CPR, NICU, and the Neonatal Resuscitation Programme (NRP).
- Strong skills in physical assessment and demonstrated clinical competence.
