What you will do:
- Collaborate with doctors and therapists to assess and address patient care needs, focusing on casting and splinting requirements and ensuring solutions meet technical orthopaedic standards.
- Communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to maintain healthy and supportive work relationships.
- Undertake care duties related to casting, musculoskeletal splinting, traction, bracing, and strapping, ensuring that all procedures are evidence-based and within your competency.
- Ensure each patient receives the most effective cast or treatment tailored to their condition, enhancing their healthcare journey through informed decision-making processes.
- Set and uphold high standards of patient care, addressing broader healthcare needs and providing education on after-care and potential casting issues.
- Assist A&E and Theatre staff during fracture manipulations by applying and maintaining casts and wedge plasters to aid in correcting deformities.
