Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Occupational Therapist to join the Adults and Children’s Team in Rutland. This ongoing role offers both part-time and full-time options, along with a hybrid working arrangement of two days per week working remotely.
In this role, you will provide occupational therapy support to both adults and children, helping individuals maximise independence and improve their quality of life within their homes and communities. What You Will Do

Provide a comprehensive range of Occupational Therapy services to both adults and children, supporting independence in home environments.

Conduct detailed assessments for individuals with disabilities, identifying appropriate equipment and adaptations to improve safety and autonomy.

Undertake complex moving and handling risk assessments and develop appropriate management strategies.

Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised support plans.

Support individuals in accessing Direct Payments and community resources where appropriate.

Recommend and demonstrate assistive technologies and adaptive equipment, ensuring safe and effective use.
Requirements

HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to travel requirements across the area.
